Service Manager

Location:Milwaukee, WI
Department:Service, Parts, and Rentals
Purpose: Total Energy Systems, LLC is seeking a qualified Service Manager to work out of our
Milwaukee, WI facility within the generator and engine service industry. The employee must establish
authority, accountability, responsibility, duties, and measures of performance of the Service Management
function at the Milwaukee, WI service facility. This person will be responsible for the overall operation of
service at the branch, this includes facilitating and assisting service technicians, service salesperson, and
at times the sales personnel at the branch. This person will need to maintain the company culture and
will need to cultivate a pleasant and productive work environment.
Key Job Accountabilities:1. Assist in daily coaching of technicians
2. Provide leadership and direction to all branch personnel
3. Effectively communicate among multiple branches and headquarters
4. Coordinate multiple activities and schedules
5. Be able to perform the following: Open work orders, invoice work orders, schedule technicians
efficiently, handle part transactions, look up parts, inventory management, support dealers and
internal staff, assist in training of all functions of the Service Department, understand and
participate in the function of warranty
6. Familiarize themselves in all aspects of the Service Department
7. Be able to handle customer concerns in a mutually beneficial manor
8. Effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing
9. Attend all service meetings, conference calls and training sessions as required
10. Assist with customer support as necessary including problem resolution, financial collection and
information requests
11. Meet or exceed financial and productivity goals set by management
12. Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, and training of technicians
13. Other duties as assigned
Skills/Abilities/Requirements/Experience:1. Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college, or technical school, or one year
related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience,
valid driver’s license
2. Requires three or more years of experience in customer service or similar position within a
service operation supervising and scheduling
3. Ability to understand the terminology used in the generator industry
4. Must be computer literate
